Duovir N Tablet used for Hiv-1 infection, Hiv infections, Hiv infection, Hepatitis b virus infection and other conditions. Duovir n Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Duovir N Tablet dosage for this medication should be based on your medical history and current condition. The usual dose in adults for HIV infection is about 150 mg twice daily or 300 mg once daily.
How to use Duovir N Tablet
Take Duovir N Tablet used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Duovir N Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Duovir N Tablet works
Duovir N Tablet work is a combination of three antiviral medicines: Lamivudine, Zidovudine and Nevirapine. They work by preventing HIV (virus) from multiplying, thereby reducing the amount of virus in your body. They also increase the CD4 cell (white blood cells that protect against infection) count in your blood.
Duovir n Tablet – Side-effects
The following is a list of Duovir N Tablet side effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Duovir n Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

Duovir n Tablet – Precautions & How to Use
Before using Duovir N Tablet precautions, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
- Avoid pregnancy
- Discontinue use if rapid increase in aminotransferase levels, progressive hepatomegaly, or metabolic or lactic acidosis of unknown origin
- Do not start using nevirapine if you are allergic to it
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Do not use if you develop skin rash, blistering, mouth sores, swelling of the face, shortness of breath, muscle or joint pain or general feelings of illness
- Have diabetes and renal impairment
- Inflammation of the eye
- Pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
- Signs of change in the distribution of fat, erosion of bones, or inflammation of pancreas
- Stop using if you have skin rashes with fever
